AG2R La Mondiale will race next year on bikes from the Swiss company BMC.

The French team is currently using Eddy Merckx bikes for the second consecutive season, but the collaboration with the Belgian bicycle brand will not continue.

AG2R joins forces with BMC, which has been bicycle supplier to NTT Pro Cycling since last year. Before that, the Swiss company supported the BMC Racing Team.

The cooperation of AG2R-La Mondiale and BMC may also explain the interest in Greg Van Avermaet. From 2011 to 2018, the Belgian classic specialist of CCC competed continuously for the BMC Racing Team for eight years, achieving his greatest successes on a BMC bike.

According to L’Equipe, he is said to have offered his services to the French formation.
