Paris-Roubaix: Iconic images

A muddy race

Other races exist for writers, but Paris-Roubaix is a race for photographers.

Dirt-covered riders, crashes on the pavé, the dead-eyed stare of riders in the showers of Roubaix’s vélodrome. Some riders love it but most others hate the pain and suffering the cobbles inflict on their bodies. It is not called The Hell of the North for nothing.

Cycling Today has put together a gallery from the ‘The Hell of the North‘ from the late 1980’s to 2017.
