Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) finished off the fine work from his Cofidis team to win in impressive fashion the 2017 Nokere Koerse by a clean set of wheels over Adam Blythe (Aqua Blue Sport) and Joeri Stallaert (Cibel – Cebon).
Bouhanni was always a big favorite to win the Belgian race and things all went according to plan for his team as a lead group of seven was caught at 23 kilometers from the finish.
The last ten kilometers saw several crashes, most notably one involving Bouhanni’s brother Rayane who furiously stepped into the team car in a matter of seconds.
In the final sprint, Bouhanni easily powered away from his rivals and crossed the line with an extremely comfortable advantage over Blythe and Stallaert.
