The finale of the Nokere Koerse race was overshadowed by a bizarre altercation involving Lotto Soudal rider Kris Boeckmans and Justin Jules from WB Veranclassic Aqua Protect.
Boeckmans could be seen on live coverage gesticulating with one of Jules’ team mates who was second in line in the peloton. Boeckmans then decided to take issue with the French rider, putting a hand on Jules’ shoulder and freewheeling, pushing them both back through the peloton, with riders managing to come around them.
