RCS Sport announced today its selection of four wild card teams that will participate at the 2018 Giro d’Italia alongside the eighteen eligible WorldTour teams.

Androni Giocattoli – Sidermec, Bardiani CSF and Wilier Triestina-Selle Italia will represent the home country during the 101st Giro d’Italia, and are joined by Israel Cycling Academy which will get a chance show itself to its home fans during the first few stages in Israel.

The Giro starts on 4 May in Jerusalem with a 9.7-kilometre individual time trial, followed by two road stages in Israel. The riders will then have a rest day as the race entourage transfers to Italy.
