Magnus Cort Nielsen (Orica-Scott) continued his run of early season success by winning the Clasica de Almeria one-day race in Spain.

Early in the race a group of three riders attacked and built a gap of more than ten minutes over the peloton. Dries De Bondt (Veranda’s Willems-Crelan), Kenneth Van Rooy (Sport Vlaanderen-Baloise) and Berden De Vries (Roompot-Nederlandse Loterij) spent most of the race in front, but the peloton eventually caught them with less than 20km to go.

Magnus Cort was the fastest to cross the finish line at Roquetas de Mar, ahead of Rudiger Selig and Jens Debusschere.
