Deceuninck-Quick-Step will start this week with big ambition in Nokere Koerse on Wednesday and the Bredene Koksijde Classic on Friday as Mark Cavendish continues to look for a victory.

Cavendish managed to achieve a podium place for the first time in a long time in the GP Monseré last Sunday. He finished second in the final sprint behind Tim Merlier.

This week, the British sprinter will race again in Nokere Koerse and the Bredene Koksijde Classic, where he will start for the first time in his career.

“We start in both races with riders who can control the course and riders who can go for a good result”, sports director Rik Van Slycke said. “The roads are narrow and there is some wind, so we have to be constantly alert. With the cobbled sections and the hills you have beautiful ingredients for a beautiful classic. ”
