Watch: British cyclist runs to bike after missing Worlds time trial start

Charlie Tanfield got off to a disastrous start at the World Championships under-23 time trial when the 21-year-old almost missed his slot.

Tanfield was seen running onto the starting ramp before mounting his bike on the final beep of the countdown clock and rolling onto the course still unclipped. Defending champion Mikkel Bjerg was the day’s winner, with Tanfield coming in 1:32 down in 27th place.
