Caleb Ewan (Orica-Scott) took his second win of the Tour of Britain on stage 3, beating Edvald Boasson Hagen (Dimension Data) and Alexander Kristoff (Katusha-Alpecin) after a bunch sprint into Scunthorpe’s Central Park.
Race leader Elia Viviani (Team Sky) finished in seventh place and lost the leader’s green jersey which went back to Ewan.
“Today was a tough day with the weather,” Ewan said after a ride through the flat terrain of Lincolnshire. “It wasn’t as straightforward as we might have expected.”
