Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) took his 100th pro victory at the 2017 GP de Quebec with a powerful burst of speed in the final 50m.
Sagan’s attack couldn’t be matched by Greg Van Avermaet (BMC) and Michael Matthews (Team Sunweb) who were second and third, respectively.
Rigoberto Uran (Cannondale-Drapac) attacked from the main pack with two kilometres left, hoping to repeat his 2015 win. But the Colombian rider was reined in and Sagan won the final sprint comfortably.
The Grand Prix de Quebec is followed by the Grand Prix de Montreal on Sunday.
