Sacha Modolo (Alpecin-Fenix) took first victory in nearly four years in stage 3 of the Tour de Luxembourg.

Benoit Cosnefroy (AG2R Citroen) finished second in the bunch sprint, followed by Eduard Grosu (DELKO) in third.

“I’m out of words. I’m so happy with this win! I’ve been waiting for it for years and I don’t hope for it anymore. But the team continued to believe in me, for which I’m really grateful! This one is for my family, for my wife,” said Modolo.

“The team was amazing, and I had an incredible lead-out. They really did a very good job! I gave it my all in the last 200m.”

There was no change to the general classification, with Marc Hirschi (UAE Team Emirates) still leading by four seconds ahead of Joao Almeida (Deceuninck-Quick-Step).
