Gianni Moscon has been disqualified from the World Championships road race for an extended tow from the team car.
Video footage shows Moscon driving hard to catch up after he was distanced from the front of the peloton by a crash on the penultimate lap.
The Italian made his comeback to the favourites group after an extended tow from the team car and later he was even part of a two-men escape along with Julian Alaphillipe, that almost held on until the end of the race.
