Paris-Roubaix is by far the flattest of cycling’s five Monuments , but don’t let that fool you: It’s the most punishing race on the calendar. The reason? About 53 kilometers of roads lined with cobblestones, many of which are hundreds of years old.
Les Amis de Paris-Roubaix are a volunteer organisation who work on preserving and maintaining the cobblestones of Paris-Roubaix. This short film shows the work that they undertake on an ongoing basis to repair potholes along the route and ensure the sectors are rideable.
