Tour de France champion Egan Bernal will be one of several climbing stars on the Colombian roster for the Yorkshire World Championships.
The squad includes Nairo Quintana, Esteban Chaves, and Daniel Martinez. However, it may be ernando Gaviria that is most likely to shine in the lumpy circuit race.
Sebastian Molano, Sebastian Henao and Alvaro Hodeg round out the Colombian roster.
Bernal is expected to return to racing this week in at the Giro della Toscana on Wednesday and then ride the Coppa Sabatini and the Memorial Marco Pantani.
Sergio Higuita will lead the under 23 team for the World Championships. The women’s elite team for the road race will include Liliana Moreno, Paula Andrea Patiño and Diana Peñuela.
