World Champion Annemiek van Vleuten ticked off a casual 400km training ride, covering almost the entire length of the Netherlands and back in a single day.
The Dutchwoman joined Jan-Willem van Schip and other riders on a day’s tour of the Netherlands covering the 400km in around 11 hours, at an average of 35.7km/h.
They departed from Wageningen in the south of the Netherlands in the morning and rode a 400km out and back route to the town of Assen.
The Mitchelton-Scott rider maintained an average weighted power of 187w for the entire day, maxing out at 636w.
In an Instagram post, Van Vleuten said: “Today my neighbour Jan-Willem van Schip got me into this crazy 400km plan. Thanks guys for a nice day out.”
