Pan American Track Championships crash into crowd

James Mellen of the USA team took a spill during the final of the keirin event at the Pan American Track Champs in Trinidad and Tobago.

Another cyclist, Keron Bramble, who was in Mellen’s slipstream, pulled high to avoid the fallen rider and his bike, but hit the side of the rail, causing him and his bike to be catapulted over the railing and into the crowd. He was stretchered off the track, but an announcement later stated he was going to be okay.
