The Netflix Tour de France series ‘Tour de France: Unchained’ will be available on the American streaming service from June 8.
The series about the Tour won by Jonas Vingegaard consists of eight episodes. The format will resemble that of the successful documentary series Formula 1: Drive to Survive, also from Netflix. The streaming service wants to portray cycling in the same way and give sports enthusiasts a look behind the scenes. Similar series about the tennis and golf world followed not long ago.
The series was made in collaboration with France Télévisions. A total of eight professional teams have committed themselves to the project: AG2R Citroën, Alpecin-Deceuninck, BORA-hansgrohe, EF Education-EasyPost, Groupama-FDJ, INEOS Grenadiers, Jumbo-Visma and Quick-Step.
