Jason Tesson outsprinted Corbin Strong and Elia Viviani to win the second stage of Route d’Occitanie.
Marijn van den Berg (EF Education-EasyPost) finished 13th on the stage to retain the overall lead, four seconds ahead of Strong.
“I learned just after the finish, and it’s sad because, we ride bikes, we do our passion, it’s our job and even if I didn’t know him personally, it’s scary,” said Tesson.
