Two days after his victory at the Kampioenschap van Vlaanderen, Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Fenix) was the fastest again in a sprint finish, this time at Eschborn-Frankfurt.
Germany’s only WorldTour race of the season finished again with a hotly contested bunch sprint won by the on-form Philipsen, while John Degenkolb (Lotto Soudal) took an emotional second place and four-time winner Alexander Kristoff (UAE Team Emirates) finished third.
