Peter Sagan got his season off aboard a Specialized Allez Sprint Disc alloy bike.
The Slovakian had not raced on an alloy frame since he was a junior and says the bike is a lot stiffer than the Venge or Tarmac.
“I did some coaching on the bike on the staff camp in Mallorca in December. Now they’ve constructed me a brand new bike, with new colors. It is rather a lot stiffer than the Venge and the Tarmac, however we’ll see. We’ll attempt to race it within the criterium after which we’ll see the way it goes. This would be the first time I’ve raced on it,” Sagan said.
“I’ve raced an alloy body earlier than however not since I used to be a junior rider, possibly even earlier than that. Definitely not in a really very long time however I am trying ahead to it.”
The alloy frame and carbon fork are paired with Shimano Dura-Ace R9170 groupset, Roval CLX 64 carbon wheels and accessories from CeramicSpeed and K-Edge.
