Jarlinson Pantano returns to the pro peloton with EPM-Scott, four years after he was suspended for violating anti-doping rules.
Pantano tested positive for EPO in an out-of-competition test in February 2019. The rider was subsequently suspended, put an end to his career and was suspended in May 2020 (with retroactive effect) by the UCI for four years.
The Colombian, who has always maintained his innocence, can now race again and will do so in the outfit of EPM-Scott, a Colombian team.
He will join other important names at the EPM-Scott team like Daniel Muñoz (ex-Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec) or Cristian Muñoz (former rider of UAE Emirates).
Pantano from had successful seasons with Colombia-Coldeportes, IAM Cycling and Trek-Segafredo. He won stages in the Tour de France, Volta a Catalunya and the Tour de Suisse.
