Mavic has unveiled as special edition of a bundle of kit that celebrates the legendary climb Col d’Izoard.
The Col d’Izoard will be the centrepiece of the 2017 Tour de France, featuring a summit finish on the pass for the first time in the race’s history on stage 18 and hosting La Course on the women’s race’s first foray outside Paris.
The limited editon kit comprises a special edition jersey, cycling shoes and socks, with a unique color scheme that pays homage to the mythical Alpine pass.
“From the lush valleys to the barren mountain tops, the Col d’Izoard elicits memories of Tour de France drama and the awe of the changing landscape as the climb ascends,” says Mavic.
The special edition jersey features the same Ride Wick ST fabric and embellishments as the French brand’s Cosmic range of apparel.
The Izoard edition Cosmic Pro shoe features the brand’s twin ergo dial adjustment which offers micro tensioning and a quick and easy release.
At a claimed 240 grams they should be well suited to racing in the mountains. There’s also a pair of matching socks.
