Mauricio Moreira (Efapel) won the 9th stage of the Volta a Portugal, triumphing on the mythical climb of Senhora da Graça.
Amaro Antunes was second in the stage, 8 seconds behind the Uruguayan winner of the stage, but holds the overall lead with 42 seconds over the Efapel rider.
The last place on the podium of the day was filled by Joni Brandão (W52/F.C. Porto), who arrived 14 seconds after Moreira, and climbed to fourth place overall, 1:04 from teammate Amaro Antunes.
Antunes will enter as the leader of the race in the decisive time trial on Sunday, 20.3 kilometers in Viseu, with 42 seconds ahead of Mauricio Moreira and 55 over Frederico Figueiredo.
