Kyle Murphy (Rally Cycling) claimed stage 2 of the Volta a Portugal after being part of a breakaway.
Murphy took biggest career win ahead of Joni Brandäo (W52/FC Porto) and Lluis Mas (Movistar Team) who were 12 seconds and 17 seconds back, respectively.
Rafael Reis – who opened the stage race with a win in the prologue and the first stage in line – remains in the lead of the general classification. His lead over teammate Mauricio Moreira is 13 seconds.
Tomorrow the Portuguese stage race continues with an uphill finish in Covilhã.
