A cyclist has been lucky to escape with his life after crossing in front of a speeding passenger train in the Netherlands.
As you can see in the following video, before this incident took place the cyclist was waiting on another, much slower train to pass, before they could cross the railroad.
The rider slowly lurches forward as the last carriage propels into the distance, unaware his vision has been partially blocked. He appears to have no idea that a speeding passenger train is barrelling toward him as he starts to cross the tracks.
