Last stage for the fastest men of the bunch. Just a cat. 4 climb 50 kilometres from finish line would not prevent a bunch sprint. Démare, Cavendish, and others were all in the time limit, so we will probably see the usual contenders of this kind of finish.

A hard but short climb, on which Mathieu van der Poel will probably attack. 50 km from the finish line is enough for the team of main sprinters to reel him in before finish line.

Will it be another win for Démare or Cavendish? It could also be a first one for Gaviria I will go for Arnaud Démare 4th victory.
CC2004
Arnaud Demare – already won 3 stages and is likely to win a 4th stage.
Mark Cavendish – has a stage win and two 3rd places.
Fernando Gaviria – another good sprinter with two 2nd places and a 3rd place.
Edward Theuns – 3 top 10 finishes in the Giro so far.
Simone Consonni – 5 top 10 finishes in the Giro including a 3rd place.

With a sprint finish most likely and already 3 wins under the hood, Démare is the logical favourite. However after a week of climbing and no sprint, Cavendish would love to have made it worth it. Gaviria has also grown into form with each an every sprint.
Bauhaus was second to Démare in the last sprint. While Trek-Segafredo freed from pink jersey duty might finally provide Edward Theuns with the sprint train he deserved.
