The brutal summit finish at Puerto de Ancares saw Michael Woods (Israel Premier Tech) fly to victory and Primoz Roglic open significant gaps to his GC rivals in the Vuelta. Ben O’Connor lost almost 2 minutes but he retains the red jersey, with a lead of 1min21s to Roglic.
