Elisa Longo Borghini was involved in a two-woman crash with Bigla Pro Cycling’s Elizabeth Banks with 34-km still to race at Women’s Driedaagse Brugge-De Panne.
Borghini tried to get back on her bike, the only issue was that her Trek was tangled up with Banks’ bicycle, leading to an impressive bike throw from Longo Borghini. Lizzy Banks was crawling off the road to safety when her bike was being flung away.

“Sorry for the bike throw today. It was done in the heat of the moment and I was very frustrated because the bikes would not untangle. It was unacceptable and I am truly sorry. My apologies to @biglateam, I would never intentionally cause damage to someone else or their property.”
