Jonas Vingegaard’s conservative tactics have annoyed Tadej Pogacar who didn’t hold back to attack his rival again before stage 10 of the Tour.
“Racing intelligent or not it’s just a nonsense in cycling,” Pogacar said. “Right now I have the yellow jersey. For me, that’s intelligent to be in the lead now, with a good gap. In the Tour de France, intelligence it’s important, but you need to have the best legs for sure to win the Tour de France”.

Pogacar’s frustrations started during stage 9 when first three riders in the general classification went clear of the rest of the peloton with almost 80 kilometers to go but Vingegaard refused to collaborate.
