With just over ten kilometers from the finish line of stage 12, the Tour de France peloton was shaken by a big crash. Alexey Lutsenko fell in the middle of the peloton, taking about twenty riders with him, including Primoz Roglic.
The Red Bull – Bora rider was able to continue but lost a considerable amount of time in the general classification and dropped out of top 5. Biniam Girmay won the stage in a bunch sprint.

The Aussie was caught in a HUGE crash with 12 kilometres to go and is receiving medical attention. Primoz Roglic was also affected but was able to finish the stage.
