Primoz Roglic will not start the thirteenth stage of the Tour de France after yesterday’s nasty crash.

The unfortunate crash happened about ten kilometers from the finish line of stage 12. Harold Tejada fell due to an obstacle on the road and Roglic crashed as well.

“Primoz Roglic underwent careful examination by our medical team after yesterday’s stage and again this morning. The decision has been taken that he will not start today, to focus on upcoming goals” Red Bull-Bora team said.

Roglic was one of the big favourites for the podium in the general classification of this Tour. Until his crash, the Slovenian was in a respectable fourth place, 2min15s behind Tadej Pogacar. Roglic also crashed on the descent towards the finish line in the eleventh stage, but without any serious damage.

The Slovenian hasn’t finished any of his last three Tour de France starts and has finished just three of his seven most recent Grand Tours.
