Tadej Pogacar won stage 13 mountain time trial of the Tour de France from Loudenvielle to Peyragudes.

The Slovenian completed the challenging 10.9km course in exactly 23 minutes, powering up the 8km, 7.9% gradient climb to the Peyragudes altiport with unmatched prowess. His victory, a fourth stage win in the 2025 Tour, solidified his grip on the yellow jersey and extended his overall lead to 4 minutes and 7 seconds over his closest rival, Jonas Vingegaard.

Pogačar, riding for UAE Team Emirates XRG, opted for a standard road bike over a time trial setup, a decision that proved inspired.

“The biggest decision was which bike to ride today,” he said post-race. “I decided to be more comfortable… and it all worked for me.”

Primoz Roglic secured third, 1 minute 20 seconds back, while Remco Evenepoel struggled, losing 2 minutes 39 seconds to Pogacar.

This victory marked Pogacar’s 21st Tour de France stage win, making him the youngest rider to reach this milestone at age 26.

“I’m super happy,” Pogacar said, reflecting on a meticulously planned effort. “I almost blew up at the end, but I saw I was going to win, and it gave me an extra push.”
