Tadej Pogacar is getting ready for the 2023 Tour de France after his crash in Liège-Bastogne-Liège, where he broke his wrist.
“My form is less bad than I thought,” said the two-time Tour winner. “We work hard in the Sierra Nevada and work a lot of hours.”
“It is hard work. The training camp is over on June 11th and I will explore a number of Tour stages. Then there will be a training camp in Sestriere.”
“Hopefully I can still ride the Slovenian championships, where I hope to participate in both the time trial and the road race. I now mainly do long endurance training, because the last few weeks I could only train on the rollers and I ran.”
Next Monday he will be back in hospital to see how well his broken wrist is healing. The Slovenian is not worried, despite the fact that it is only less than one month until the Tour.
