UAE Emirates has announced the squad for the Grand Prix de Quebec (13 September) and Grand Prix de Montreal (15 September). As expected, Tadej Pogacar will make his comeback in Canada together with Juan Ayuso.
“I’ve had a good break from racing and am eager to get back to it now starting in Canada,” says Pogacar.
It’s a beautiful part of the world to ride a bike in and I have great memories here from two years ago. The level will be high there as always and we will need to be at our best”.
The Slovenian won just Grand Prix de Montreal in 2022 and never took the victory in Quebec.
After the two races in Canada, Pogacar is preparing for the World Championships in Zurich (September 29) and several Italian classic races, including Il Lombardia (October 12).
“Whatever happens for the rest of the season I can be happy with what I’ve achieved this year. Anything else will be a bonus. My condition is good and I’m focused on enjoying and doing well in this last part of the season”.”
In addition to Pogacar, the following riders will start for UAE Emirates in both Canadian races: Igor Arrieta, Finn Fisher-Black, Rafal Majka, Domen Novak, Tim Wellens and Juan Ayuso.
