Tadej Pogacar took a heart-pounding tumble in stage 11 of the Tour, skidding across the road just 4km from the finish.
The Slovenian rider clipped Tobias Halland Johannessen’s wheel, crashing hard into the kerb and leaving fans holding their breath. Scraped up with grazes on his arm and hip, Pogacar dusted himself off, hopping back on his bike with help from a quick-thinking mechanic to fix his chain.
And that’s how Pogacar’s Tour could have ended. 😬 A bit more to the left and he’d have hit the curbstone and break something. He might be affected tomorrow, we shall see. Nobody to blame for this stupid incident by the way, in my opinion.#TDF2025 pic.twitter.com/lKvezGxRgW

Rivals like Jonas Vingegaard and race leader Ben Healy eased up the peloton, giving Pogacar a chance to catch up after the spill outside the 3km safety zone.
“I’m a bit roughed up, but I’ve seen worse,” Pogacar said with a smirk, as medics confirmed no breaks or head injuries.
“Big thanks to the other riders for waiting—it shows the respect we have in this sport.nA few scratches won’t stop me. We’ve got bigger mountains to climb!”
Looking ahead to the Pyrenean challenges in stage 12, he remained focused, stating, “I’m still in this fight, and I’m ready for next fight.”
