Mathieu van der Poel’s Corendon-Circus team have undergone a change of sponsorship and has gone for a new grey/blue kit.
Alpecin comes on board to continue its investment in cycling. The brand previously backed Giant-Alpecin and more recently, Katusha-Alpecin. Italian interior design brand Fenix joins as co-sponsor.
The team will continue to race on Canyon bikes and they will also continue to be multi-disciplinary, racing in mountain biking, cyclocross and on the road.
In 2020, Alpecin-Fenix will be racing a host of Classics, including Strade Bianche, Milan-San Remo, the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix, giving Van der Poel his first chance at a full Classics run.
Despite his continuing success in cyclocross and on the road, the team confirmed that Van Der Poel’s main target for 2020 is Olympics MTB gold in Tokyo.
