The revelation of the most recent Giro d’Italia Giulio Pellizzari leaves VF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè and will be seen in the Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe jersey next year.
Pellizzari had been known as a great talent for a while, but in 2024 he really broke through. He did this mainly in the Giro d’Italia by slipping into the early breakaway several times in the last week. In the sixteenth stage he even came very close to a stage win, but Tadej Pogacar still went over the young Italian in the final kilometers.
“I am very happy to be part of the new Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe project. I can’t wait to work with the new team and achieve great goals together,” says Pellizzari.
Ralph Denk, the big boss of the team, is also happy with the transfer.
“Identifying and developing talent is at the forefront of our vision and our transfers for next season prove that. Despite his young age, Giulio has already shown his climbing potential in major races. We want to build on this and take the next step in his development as a top rider.”
