Florian Lipowitz (Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohe) delivered another solid performance on stage 14 of the Tour de France, cementing his third place on the general classification after Evenepoel’s abandon.

“Coming into the Tour, I never thought about the podium or fighting for it. I knew I was in good shape and now I’m third and I have the white jersey, I can only be happy,” Lipowitz said after stage 14.

He also acknowledged the challenging third week ahead, noting, “Two weeks are almost done but everyone knows the third week is the hardest. The stages look very tough with a lot of climbing. We have to see how the legs are. I hope they stay the same.”

Regarding his role alongside Primoz Roglic, he said, “We are a team, and we talk together. So far, I’ve shown that I’m in good shape, but Primoz is the leader. He’s the one who will tell me what to do and what the plan is for the next few days.”
