TotalEnergies were the victim of bicycle thieves ahead of the twelfth stage of the Tour de France, 11 team bikes and tools being stolen.

The French team reported the theft to local police. The 11 Enve bikes stolen were reportedly worth €150,000. Tool boxes were also stolen, making it difficult for the team to assemble replacement bikes.

All riders at the Tour have at least three bikes.

Jean-René Bernaudeau, team manager, said: “This is annoying, but the riders are not upset by it. We still have bikes in stock. The fact that we no longer have the toolboxes is especially annoying.”
