Polish rider Pawel Bernas was center of attention at the Tour of Norway, after he decided to fake a crash during the race to claim he was a victim and improve his finishing time.
While a couple of riders hit the deck, Bernas was not one of them. That was until he dismounted his bike, placing it down, and sitting on the ground.
The rider of CCC Sprandi Polkowice team apologized for his behavior after learning that the episode was caught on cameras. He said he was enormously tired and wanted to be credited with the same time as the leading group.
