Venturini beats Bouhanni in stage two of Route d’Occitanie

Clement Venturini wins stage 2 Route d'Occitanie 2018

Clement Venturini (AG2R La Mondiale) has won the final sprint of the second stage at the Route d’Occitanie, crossing the finish line ahead of race leader Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) and Carlos Barbero (Movistar).

Bouhanni was the first rider to launch the sprint but he wasn’t strong enough and he almost crashed against Carlos Barbero (Movistar), a situation that Venturini used to his advantage to take the stage.
