Without big surprise we had yet another day at the Tour, with Cristophoe Laporte bringing home the first French win.

It is not every year that we have not witness long 40 km time trial. As big as the gap could be, there is not much to play. Yet, 40km is long! And if there is some one who has the slightest chance of reverse 3 min and 30, the it is surely Tadej Pogacar.

The European champion is a long way off the form of the main favourite here, but he is one  of the best time trialist.

The new Netherlands Time Trial Champion  excels with longer distance. He is a very long shot from beating the favourite.

It will depends on him, If he feels he can still do something, He might atleast take the stage win.

★★☆☆☆ Geraint Thomas

One of the most discrete efficient ride of the tour. He would want to prove that he deserves a podium by winning a stage that is so well suited to him.

After that ride two days ago, his form cannot be ignored and he could win the stage.

40km of flat terrain is delight for the world champion. Wout can really go wrong?

He does want he wants, when he wants in this Tour de France. He wil surely want to add a time trial victory again this year.
