How not to lock your bike

Bike security is a serious concern for cyclists and anyone who’s thinking of taking up cycling – thousands of machines are stolen every year.

The experts say that you should be spending at least 10% of the value of your bike on locks. Although locks all may look the same to you a thief will know the difference and will target a cheaper lock as it will be a lot easier to force open.

This cyclist from U.K. realized that locking up only the wheels is no way to lock a bike you want to keep. He left his bike with a D-lock securing one wheel to the stand and a cable securing the other wheel. However, he forgot about the frame.

You have to secure the frame! Don’t be lazy and lock only the wheels, like this guy did.
