Primoz Roglic suffered a mechanical and a crash on stage 15 of the Giro d’Italia 2019 and lost 40 seconds to his GC rivals ahead of the second rest day.
A mechanical left Roglic chasing on a teammate’s ill-fitting bike on the day’s final climb. Just as the Slovenian caught back on to the main GC group, multiple rivals delivered put in attacks on the Civiglio, distancing Roglic and forcing him to make up ground on the descent, where he crashed.
