The third stage of the Dubai Tour has been affected by strong crosswinds and a sandstorm, resulting in the race temporarily splitting to pieces.
Sand and debris was strewn across the road, while Marcel Kittel suffered a cut above his eye – allegedly from a stray elbow – as a frenetic pace was set and echelons formed.
