Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) took victory on stage two of the Tour de Yorkshire in Harrogate. The French sprinter finished comfortably clear of Orica-Scott’s Caleb Ewan, who finished in second place for a second day running.

A four-man breakaway got away early on in the 122.5km Tadcaster to Harrogate stage but they were caught with around 20km to go.

On the run into Harrogate, stage one winner Dylan Groenewegen took his place near the front of the peloton, but it was the Bouhanni who claimed a comfortable victory.

Caleb Ewan (Orica-Scott) was again second. However, the result was enough to move him into the race lead as Groenewegen  finished outside of the finish line bonuses.
