Three-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome is back training after his bike was “rammed” by impatient driver on Tuesday.
Froome escaped uninjured from the crash, caused when the driver pursued him on to the pavement. Police are scanning CCTV footage and say they will do all they can to catch the person.
The Sky team rider tweeted: “Just got rammed on purpose by an impatient driver who followed me onto the pavement! Thankfully I’m okay. Bike totalled. Driver kept going!”
Froome was unhurt and praised French police for their response, adding: “I have given them all the details.”
The Team Sky rider posted on Twitter that he was back on the saddle after having a new bike flown in.
