Caja Rural-Seguros RGA trainee Manuel Sola has tested positive for testosterone after failing an anti-doping test taken at May’s Tour of Navarre.
The Spanish cyclist was competing with the Caja Rural-Seguros RGA amateur squad then prior to having his trial with the pro team.
This season he was sixth at the Classica da Arrabida – Cylin’Portugal and sixth on stage 2 at the Trofeu Joaquim Agostinho with Caja Rural’s development team.
Sola was called up to the Pro Continental team as a trainee and competed in races such as the Tour of Utah and the Colorado Classic. He had been due to compete with Radio Popular Boavista in 2018.
Manuel Sola has asked for the analysis of the B sample.
